The ghostly pirate, Cervantes, is brought back from the dead and returns to make Soul Edge his own again in Soul Calibur VI.
Soul Calibur VI
Bandai Namco confirmed that one of their most iconic characters, Cervantes, will be coming back to fight in Soul Calibur VI.
Cervantes is a pirate who once gripped Soul Edge, which transformed him into a monster. He brought chaos as the sword manipulated him until he was defeated by a heroic ninja and a brave warrior, and he turned to ash. Later on, Nightmare, the wielder of the Soul Edge, came across Cervantes remains. Unbeknownst to Nightmare, the Soul Edge managed to bring back Cervantes back from the dead. He now aims to claim the Soul Edge once again.
He uses two weapons, which are called Acheron and Nirvana. Acheron is a sword he plundered during his reign across the Atlantic Ocean. Nirvana is a dagger which has a pistol integrated into it. It was a gift from the weapons dealer, Verrci, and symbolized the connection between the two. Using the pistol could break anyone’s guard, which makes it easy to do a follow-up blow with the sword.
Soul Calibur VI will release on October 19, 2018, for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
