Resident Evil 7 is coming to the Nintendo Switch

Resident Evil for Switch

Finally, RE7 for the Nintendo Switch but…

Resident Evil 7

Just earlier, the official Japanese Resident Evil YouTube Channel announced that Resident Evil 7 is coming towards the Nintendo Switch. However, it is not the port you expect it to be.

Just like how Phantasy Star Online 2 was ported to the Nintendo Switch, Resident Evil 7, too, would be a cloud version. Much like Phantasy Star Online 2. This means that you need to be always connected online in order to play the game. In addition to that, you won’t be able to play the game offline as it is a cloud game.

The positive side to this is that you only have to download a 45MB application for it. Additionally, RE7Cloud will include all of the DLCs; Banned Footage Volume 1 and Volume 2, End of Zoe, and Not a Hero.

After downloading the Cloud application, you may be able to play it up to 15 minutes as a demo, after 15 minutes, you need to buy a 2,000Yen “subscription” ticket to play the entire game which would expire after 180 days.

Right now, it is only announced for Japan but we are expecting a same announcement for the western counterpart.

Take a look at the announcement on the Japanese Resident Evil YouTube Channel:

I mean like, what are you doing, Capcom? Seriously? When the fans want Resident Evil 7 to be ported to the Nintendo Switch, you gave us this? When the Nintendo Switch can run Resident Evil 7 without any problems in 1080p30fps or 720p60fps?

It was already tested by Switch Planet via their YouTube Channel by using a computer with parts similar to the Nintendo Switch. See the test run here.

I don’t know what you are doing, Capcom.
