Square Enix recently announced in a livestream their upcoming game, Life is Strange: Reunion, where the focal characters from the first game, Max and Chloe, will be back for one last time to end their saga. The game will also take place at Caledon University, where Max Caulfield works as a photography teacher. Unfortunately, after a weekend away, Max finds the university ablaze, which also ends the lives of her friends, students, and faculty.
Thankfully, Max has a supernatural ability to rewind, which saves her. Now, she has to know what happened and how to prevent it by going back in time and investigating before the disaster strikes again. This is when Chloe Price arrives at Caledon, which is a repercussion directly connected to the ending of Life is Strange: Double Exposure. For the first time in the series, players can now play both Max and Chloe, providing unique perspectives as the story unfolds.
Players will be able to use Max’s rewind powers to undo and redo decisions and solve puzzles. While playing as Chloe, you can use her Backtalk ability to sway suspects and possibly open a new avenue to search and go where Max is allowed to go. Life is Strange: Reunion is built on the characters from the previous games to create a unique and dramatic narrative, which serves as the climax of Max and Chloe’s saga in the series.
Life is Strange: Reunion will be out on March 26, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Players can get the Standard Edition, but there will be Deluxe Edition, Twin Pack, and Collector’s Edition versions of the game. Each has its own bonuses, such as a digital soundtrack, art book, and comics for the Deluxe Edition. The Twin Pack includes Life is Strange: Double Exposure Standard Edition.
