Marvel Rivals: Season 2

Marvel Games and NetEase Games have shared exciting details about Season 2: Hellfire Gala for Marvel Rivals, as it officially begins on April 11, bringing two new playable heroes—Emma Frost and Ultron —to the game. As seasons in Marvel Rivals tend to last around 3 months, Hellfire Gala season is going to be split into two phases, with Emma Frost arriving in the first half and Ultron joining the fray in the latter half. Fans can also look forward to two vibrant new maps, special events, and enhanced Team-Ups, all designed to elevate the Marvel Rivals experience.

The Season 2 Trailer (shown above) would show a glimpse of the lore and story around the new season, but we also have a Dev Vision released that would go in depth with the changes in Marvel Rivals Season 2.

As seen in the video, Emma Frost, who has a Vanguard role in Marvel Rivals, would be a pivotal character in the game. (check her character reveal here) Her telepathic abilities and diamond form will undoubtedly make her a formidable opponent, offering the game a wider range of team synergy and combinations. Plus, she can chokeslam enemies, which is utterly satisfying.

Among other changes in Marvel Rivals Season 2 are the new HELLFIRE GALA: KRAKOA map, featuring breathtaking botanical landscapes and spectacular fireworks to set the environment. Players can also look forward to the first-ever adjustments to Team-Up Abilities, with fresh new Team-Ups being introduced while some existing ones are revised or removed. Season 2 brings an enhanced progression system with the addition of weekly missions, complementing daily challenges to help active players unlock all Battle Pass rewards by season’s end.

Looking ahead, starting from Season 3, Marvel Rivals seasons will transition to a two-month format with a new hero debuting every month. Related systems will be revamped to align with this exciting new structure, with detailed updates to follow before the next season’s launch.

Finally, the official Marvel Rivals Discord community has grown to an impressive 4 million users, cementing its place as one of the largest and most active communities on Discord. As one of the most successful games to be released last year, they easily amassed over 10 million registered users on their launch few months ago, and reaching over 40 million players to date.
